Extending Warmth in Melbourne: Comprehensive Overseas Care by ISTM

2024.08.01

This year, the International School of Technology and Management (ISTM) at Feng Chia University has sent students to Melbourne as part of the "RMIT University Dual Bachelor’s Degree Program in Business and Innovation" and the "Monash University Dual Bachelor’s Degree Program in Information Technology."

Arriving in the chilly Australian winter presents many challenges for international students. To offer support and encouragement, ISTM has provided special support to students arriving in Melbourne. Senior Manager Jane Lu from the Australian Office and the CEO of ISTM, Kris Chung have offered encouragement and support to these newcomers. Senior students currently studied at Monash University also joined the welcome dinner, offering advice on course selections and strategies for academic success. Additionally, alumni who are now working in Melbourne shared their job-seeking experiences and tips with the newcomers.

To ensure comprehensive care for overseas students, ISTM has introduced a new support system this year. They have partnered with I.S. Education Consulting (ISEC) to provide regular monitoring and life consultation services across various campuses in Australia. This initiative aims to give parents peace of mind, knowing that their children studying abroad are well-supported in pursuing their dreams.
