Program Overview

Course Introduction

Freshman and Sophomore Years: Fundamental courses in Electrical Engineering.
Junior and Senior Years: Transition to SJSU’s Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering, where students continue to study relevant professional knowledge and gain practical experience.

After graduation, students may apply for a U.S. work permit (OPT* + STEM extension#) to engage in engineering-related work in the U.S.

OPT stands for Optional Practical Training. Undergraduate and graduate students holding an F1 visa, after completing at least nine months of academic study, may be approved by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to undergo practical training in their professional field for up to one year.
OPT regulations are subject to the latest updates announced by the government each year.

Students who fulfill the graduation requirements of both FCU and SJSU will be conferred degrees in accordance with the regulations of both institutions.
