ISTM Purdue X RMIT Joint Innovation Project Competition

2017.12.20

Innovation Project aims to integrate students’ knowledge and skills in business or in engineering. Through project-based learning, students are guided to learn by doing. Students are encouraged to innovate by making, learning, exploring and sharing. The faculty members who visited Purdue’s First Year Engineering course “Transforming Ideas to Innovation” this summer have shared and applied their knowledge to ISTM’s Innovation Project.

  • “ISTM Purdue X RMIT Joint Innovation Project Competition” on the 14th and 15th of December put students’ skills to the test. FCU-Purdue and FCU-RMIT first-year students focused on problem scoping and solutions. For FCU-RMIT second-year course, students were required to further develop a product or a service. In this interdisciplinary competition, several reviewers were invited, including Prof. Albrecht Fritzsche from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, Program Director Shaw-Jyh Shin, Program Director Pei-Chun Lee, Prof. Chiung-Ju Huang, Prof. Ju-Chuan Wu and Prof. Chen-Jui Liang.
