Feng Chia University and the University of Queensland deepen academic exchange and collaborate on the New Colombo Plan

With the support of the Australian government's New Colombo Plan, a delegation of 18 students and faculty members from the School of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (EECS) at the University of Queensland visited Feng Chia University from June 28 to July 2, hosted by the International School of Technology and Management.

Following their collaboration on a dual bachelor's degree programme in business, Feng Chia University's International School of Technology and Management (ISTM) and the University of Queensland (UQ) will further deepen their academic ties and expand into other academic fields. To promote bilateral cooperation, a group of students and professors from UQ's School of EAIT visit Feng Chia University's ISTM from 28th June to 2nd July 2024, under the New Colombo Plan, to engage in academic and cultural exchange activities.

ISTM Alumni Returns to Campus to Share Experience Studying at Monash University

Tony Hsieh, who previously studied in the Purdue-FCU 2+2 Bachelor’s Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering, transferred to Monash University in Australia to study Information Technology through ISTM during his junior year. Recently, he returned to campus to hold a discussion with current students enrolled in the Monash University IT program.

University of Adelaide Teaching Trainer Kathy Watson Visits ISTM for Classroom Observations

On May 23, a research and development delegation led by Prof. Rakic, Vice‑Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at UQ, visited Feng Chia University again, reaffirming both institutions’ strong commitment to deepening cooperation.Upon arriving in Taichung on May 23, the delegation immediately met with Dean Chuang‑Chien Chiu, Vice‑Dean Shaw‑Jyh Shin, Charles S. Chien, and Executive Director Yao‑Lung Chung of the International School of Technology and Management (ISTM).

Feng Chia University Delegation Led by the Chairperson and President Makes First Joint Visit to Australia, Visiting RMIT University

On May 4, a delegation from Feng Chia University, led by Chairperson Gao, Cheng‑Shu, President Wang, Wei, Vice President Kuo‑Hao Tang, and Vice President Shwu‑Ting Lee, visited the renowned RMIT University in Australia. This marks the first time the University’s Chairperson, President, two Vice Presidents, and senior administrators have traveled together on an official overseas visit—demonstrating Feng Chia University’s strong commitment to RMIT and its determination to advance internationalization. During the trip, the delegation also met alumni in Melbourne as well as Feng Chia students currently studying at RMIT University and Monash University.

2024 FCU Open Festival was a great success. ISTM thanks everyone for their enthusiastic participation.

Feng Chia University's 2024 Feng Chia Open Festival, held on April 13th, was a resounding success. The event, which specially invited parents and students from all over Taiwan, to explore the departments they are interested in at FCU.
