Professor Shaonan Tian of San José State University paid a visit to ISTM and shared lifehacks about living in the US on Dec. 26th.

On Dec. 26th, Tian arrived at ISTM and had a seminar on how to help students learn smoothly in the states with Dean Chuang-Chien Chiu, Associate Dean Shaw-Jyh Shin, Charles S. Chien, and program advisor of Business Analysis, Dean McDaniel Keith in ISTM, with the accompany by Professor Cathy WS Chen from the departments of statistics.

• Tian gave a special speech at the B2 lecture hall beneath library, after meeting with professors and teachers. Sharing what’s daily life is like while studying in SJSU, the advantage of studying in SJSU. Then, Tian talked about the career of business analysis, what it is like now, what it is going to be like in the future. Lastly, she also compared the difference between learning styles of the US and Asia, little things that needed to pay attention to while living in the states. To make students be well prepared before studying abroad. Teachers and students had learned a great deal from Professor Tian. And they are looking forward to inviting Professor Tian to visit Taiwan again.
