International School of Technology and Management visiting US partner universities to enhance partner relationship

In Spring 2020, President Lee of Feng Chia University and Dean Sher of International School of Technology and Management visited three of our partner universities in the US: Purdue University, San Jose State University, and San Francisco State University, to consolidate the relationship of bilateral cooperation and expand the possibility of different aspects of cooperation.

• This trip introduces the new Dean of ISTM, Dean Sher, to our partner universities’ faculty. San Francisco State University is a new partner of ISTM. President Lee and Dean Sher met Professor Carmen Domingo, Dean of San Francisco State University’s College of Science & Engineering and signed MoU, making ISTM programs more diverse.
• During the visit in Purdue, President Lee and Dean Sher met Professor George Chiu, Assistant Dean for Global Engineering Programs, and Associate Professor Jeffery L. Gray of School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. In San Jose State University, they met Professor Dan Moshavi, Dean of Lucas College of Business, and Professor Jinny Rhee, Associate Dean of the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering. Both parties reexamined the MoU and discussed the possibility of expanding cooperation. Dinner party with President Lee and Dean Sher was also arranged for ISTM students who have already started studying in Purdue and SJSU. Caring from FCU teachers’ made a great comfort to students studying abroad.
• ISTM values international competitiveness of our students. This trip to the US facilitates more possibilities of academic exchange and events. We anticipate that through mutual visits and exchanges between teachers and students, we can create a diversified and internationalized learning channel, enhance the adding value and expand students' international horizons.
