Peggy Shih and Derek Tong of FCU-RMIT Program receive AUD5,000 Scholarship from RMIT

Here are some words from Peggy:

I was really excited and surprised when I know that I was the one who had be awarded the scholarship which is also kind of encouragement for me and makes me more confident.

Although obtain the scholarship may not be the way to measure how much effort we made, it could be the certain approval for me for these past days, and a proof of receiving the scholarship wasn’t that impossible, as well as a motivation for me to keep moving on.

Finally, I have to thank the professors and my classmates who were very helpful and supportive for me to finish the degree in Feng Chia university, and I will try my best in next stage.

Here are some words from Derek:

I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected as the recipient of the scholarship.

I am an Economics and Finance major with a passion for economics. I plan to pursue a career in economics as an economist upon graduating from RMIT University. Thanks to the scholarship, I am one step closer to that goal.

By awarding me the Global Leader Scholarship, my financial burden has been lightened which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning. The generosity of RMIT University has inspired me to help others and give back to the community.

I hope one day I will be able to give back to the university someday and help students reach their educational goals just as RMIT University has helped me.
