SJSU Delegation Visits ISTM to Strengthen Academic Collaboration
On November 13, 2025, Professor Sheryl H. Ehrman, Dean of the College of Engineering at San José State University (SJSU), and Professor Alan Wong, Director of Business Development and Global Partnership, visited Feng Chia University. The International School of Technology and Management specially arranged a discussion session for the two distinguished guests with first- and second-year SJSU-EE students. The atmosphere was lively, and the students made tremendous gains.
During the session, Professor Ehrman, with her warm and energetic sharing style, guided students to gain an in-depth understanding of SJSU’s campus culture, innovative learning models, the dynamic environment of Silicon Valley, and the various development possibilities in the technology industry after graduation. She also shared many impressive photos showcasing the professional learning experiences of engineering students, allowing the students to feel as if they were personally present. This helped them develop a clearer and more inspiring blueprint for studying in the United States and planning their future careers.
Professor Ehrman also encouraged the students by saying, “Learning does not come only from the classroom; participation in student clubs and internships is equally important.” She urged everyone to explore courageously and actively engage in on- and off-campus activities to cultivate more interdisciplinary and cross-cultural abilities, which will form a stronger foundation for entering the international technology industry.
The sharing from both distinguished guests deeply inspired the students, enabling them to gain a more profound understanding and a clearer picture of the future of international study abroad opportunities.
